Inclusive Trails: Planning from the Ground Up

This workshop will introduce key concepts necessary for strategic trail planning and management of pedestrian trails and shared-use pathways in urban settings. Urban trails that are fully conceptualized and well-planned, through dynamic community engagement, diverse partnerships and creative planning provide linear environmental opportunities for community sustainability.
Construction and Maintenance of Urban Trails
June 12, 2021 | 9:00AM – 4:30PM | In-Person
This workshop provides participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to begin basic hand construction of natural surface pedestrian trails that have been previously designed and laid out for such construction. Participants will leave with the skills to lead and train volunteer land stewards in covered techniques on their own sites.
Register for one or both sessions. A special opportunity for interested registrants to access the Friday classroom sessions virtually! Saturday sessions are ‘in the field’ and will NOT be made available virtually.
