OPEN CALL FOR CONFERENCE PRESENTATION PROPOSALS

The Pennsylvania-Delaware Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (PA-DE ASLA) is now accepting presentation proposals for the newly-renamed 2020 PA-DE ASLA Conference on Landscape Architecture, to be held April 17-18, 2020 at Skytop Lodge in Skytop, PA – “The Grandest Family Resort in the Poconos”.

The 2020 Conference Planning Committee is building the event around the notion that 2020 is a seminal year in many ways, and NOW is the time to address crucial issues such as climate change, carbon reduction, conservation/preservation, and planning for the future. Potential conference content may include such topics as, but is not limited to:

  • Climate change
  • Sustainable design
  • Resiliency/responsiveness
  • Preservation
  • Revitalization
  • New collaborations and paradigms
  • Diversity

Presentation/session format may vary. We envision a track of “traditional” 60-minute sessions, but also request proposals for “deep dive” (three- to four-hour) sessions as well. The goal is that attendees can earn up to 12 continuing education credits for conference participation.

The Committee is requesting presentation proposals at this point. After the deadline, the Committee will review submissions and notify selected speakers via email. Selected speakers/presentations will then be contacted for additional information, as necessary.

Submission Deadline: 11:59pm on Friday, August 30, 2019

[Submissions must be made electronically by the deadline. Acceptance notifications will also be made electronically.]
