Purpose:
The Constitution & Bylaws Committee is a standing committee responsible for drafting changes to the Chapter’s Constitution & Bylaws as requested by the Chapter Executive Committee.
Tasks:
The Constitution & Bylaws Committee has been charged by the Chapter Executive Committee to perform the following tasks:
- Draft amendments to the Chapter Constitution and Bylaws as necessary and appropriate to ensure consistency with the ASLA Constitution and Bylaws and with current practices of the Chapter.
- Prescribe a format for the preparation of sponsored amendments.
- Review proposed amendments for consistency with the Constitution or the Bylaws and assist the sponsor in rectifying any inconsistency.
Committee Representation:
The Committee shall be comprised of three (3) Full or Associate Members of the Chapter, of whom one shall be the Chapter Secretary. The other members shall be appointed by the Chapter President.
