Congratulations to Lolly Tai, FASLA, the 2021 recipient of national ASLA’s Jot D. Carpenter Teaching Medal!
Selected by ASLA’s Board of Trustees, the honors represent the highest recognition ASLA bestows each year. Lolly Tai, FASLA, Professor of Landscape Architecture at Temple University, was nominated by the Pennsylvania-Delaware Chapter and other noteworthy individuals.
In 2000, ASLA created The Jot D. Carpenter Teaching Medal to celebrate the outstanding life and career of Professor Jot D. Carpenter, FASLA, past president of the ASLA. The medal is awarded annually and recognizes sustained and significant contribution to landscape architecture education. Tai will receive the medal during the 2021 Conference on Landscape Architecture in Nashville in November.
“There’s no doubt that connecting to nature is important to every facet of our health… I have always had an appreciation for the natural world. So for me, it’s never like work.”
