Several PA-DE ASLA Executive Committee (board) positions are up for election or re-election this summer. These terms will begin or continue in October 2025.

The PA-DE ASLA Executive Committee seeks self-nominations for the following positions:

  • Trustee (3-year Term) – Candidate must be a Full Member
  • President-Elect (1-year Term, Then President) – Candidate must be a Full or International Member
  • Vice President (2-year Term) – Candidate must be a Full or International Member
  • Secretary (2-year Term) – Candidate must be a Full, Associate, or International Member
  • Treasurer (2-year Term) – Candidate must be a Full, Associate, or International Member

Commitment

The PA-DE ASLA Executive Committee meets monthly via Zoom (the third Tuesday of the month at noon) and also convenes for two separate day-long retreat and budget meetings in the summer and fall. (Budget-depending, the summer and fall meetings may be held in person in a central location). There may be other discussions or initiatives that require additional, impromptu meetings.

Responsibilities

Executive Committee members are expected to attend all monthly meetings and the retreat and budget meetings. The Trustee must also attend all ASLA Board of Trustee (BOT) virtual and in-person meetings and serve as liaison between the PA-DE Chapter and ASLA National. If there is no Immediate Past President, the President-Elect serves as the Governance Committee Chair. The Vice President serves as the Chair of the PA-DE ASLA Awards & Scholarship Committee and the Secretary serves as the PA-DE ASLA Education Committee Chair. The Treasurer reviews monthly financial statements and serves on committees and workgroups as necessary.

The Executive Committee is a governing body comprised of landscape architecture professionals of diverse practice areas and career stages. It is a professional community that thoughtfully serves nearly 600 practicing landscape architects and students in Pennsylvania and Delaware. The Executive Committee charts the path of the organization and is supported by staff who facilitate its vision and directions.

Serve on the PA-DE ASLA Executive Committee and develop yourself personally and professionally, make meaningful connections with fellow landscape architects, help position PA-DE ASLA as a model ASLA chapter, and provide essential career benefits and resources for members.

Nominees will be reviewed and selected by the PA-DE ASLA Nominating Committee. The election will occur this summer.
